Trinket/Collectors Intarsia Rectangular Wooden Box "WILL POST" in AROONA, Queensland for sale

I have here for Sale a "Rectangular Wooden Trinket/Collector Box".
This beautifully finished box features opening hinged lid & a two section divider insert. (see photo 2)
This box is decorated on the lid with a Butterfly on-laid mini Intarsia artpiece. (see photo 1)
"Beautiful Intarsia Ancient Art Form of Handcrafted Wooden/Timber designs of Exotic Woods". Was popular in the 15th Century in Italy for decoration.
Intarsia is the fine art of cutting numerous pieces of different kinds of wood and fitting them together to make a picture. Variations occur in each pieces as timbers are hand selected according to natural colours & grain patterns and handcarved making each artpiece unique. All pieces are individually cut to fit together with the next adjoining piece. Some pieces are raised to give a 3D look. Then they are contoured by sanding to give them the final shape. They are then assembled on a thin ply backing and trimmed. A Durable Protective coating is then applied and let dry and then the wonderful Artpiece is finished. Each piece is a one of a kind and no two are alike.
